EUROPEAN SHOWCASES: THE FINAL NIGHT

A night to be remembered - history was made! The setting? Camden Town, UK at the Dublin Castle....7 Australian performing artists took the stage as part of the NFF Australian Export Tour for the last night of the 2006 International Showcase Tour. Lindsay Phillips, Ben Mitchell, 72Blues, Konqistador, Fire Underground, Mihirangi and Late Nite Access delivered killer performances for the last hoorah! The club was dark, well attended and packed full of great energy - as pummelling rain outside in the streets of Camden Town set the mood for the evening. The bands weathered long distance travels from Berlin - where NFF hosted (2) showcases at this year's Popkomm Musik Conference (one at Junction Bar and one at the infamous Wild At Heart) with a showcase shortly before that in Amsterdam at the notorious red light district club (Winston Kingdom). The NFF artists met eager, energized and excited crowds each night across Europe, as the tour built steam from showcase to showcase. Several industry representatives attended including festival directors, artist management, label A&R, producers, talent agents, distribution reps and media. We're already looking forward to expanding the Export Tour this year as we integrate with a handful of new European festivals for 2007.

*All artists were recorded live - so stay tuned for upcoming NFF Radio Network showcases on these performances!
