NORTH AMERICAN SHOWCASES: THE OFFICIAL LAUNCH

What a party! We officially cleaned up the mess at the Ding Dong Lounge for our August 31st Australian launch of the New Found Frequency Radio Network and Australian Export Tour just in time to hop on a plane and head straight to the motor city Detroit, Michigan USA. That's right. We're launching the whole damn thing all over again, this time.... North American style. We fueled up on coney dogs and dirty Detroit soul food as the NFF artists arrived in Windsor/Detroit airports one by one for the Sept 13 launch of our showcase. Luggage was lost, planes were delayed, lighting storms were everywhere, US Customs agents showed their love but everybody made it on time for the big show. NFF officially launched to North America at Windsor Avalon Front with a great local brewery on board - everybody had a cold and carbonated Walkerville Brew in their hands, with great food delivered by infamous rock n' roll caterer to the stars 'Chef Rock'. The North American leg of the tour saw performances from: 72Blues, Fire Underground, 84, Mihirangi, Lindsay Phillips and Late Nite Access with (5) showcase performances with a sold out home town showcase for 72Blues' at (Avalon Front in Windsor, Canada) plus a weird and wild Queen Street showcase at Toronto's very freaky (Bovine Sex Club) and Ottawa's (Zaphod Beeblebrox). Yes! it's true. The Rolling Stones shot their 'Streets of Love' video there. A handful of bands stepped outside of the tour and found their own fun....84 recorded at full length album at Detroit's Chowtown Studios and 72Blues booked some time with the king of garage rock 'Jim Diamond'. The band found a day to step into his downtown Detroit studio Ghetto Recorders to record (2) B-sides for their upcoming live album.
*All artists were recorded live - so stay tuned for upcoming NFF Radio Network showcases on these performances!
